Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and that means Mt. Loafer Candy Grams- our annual fifth grade service project. This year we will be donating all of our funds to the Mervyn Sharp Bennion Central Utah Home in Payson.
We will be selling them Monday, February 9th through Thursday the 12th. A candy gram is a paper Valentine stamped with a candy kiss. They will be sold before school and during lunch recess. They will cost $0.25 each. We will accept CASH or CHECKS.

Our kindergarten class is officially 100 days smarter! 🎉🧠
They’ve had 100 days of learning, laughing, counting, creating, and growing together—and we’re so proud of how far our students have come. What a fun milestone to celebrate all their hard work and big progress! 📚✨

We have been learning about the Renaissance in 5th Grade. We learned that It took Michael Angelo four years to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, so we wanted to experience an hour of painting on our backs. It was NOT easy!









While studying astronomy, Mrs. Humphrey's class had a lot of questions about black holes. So, we brought in an astronomy professor from BYU who gave a short presentation about black holes and answered their very many questions!

Join the Salem City Library on Saturday, February 7, between 11:00–1:00 for Take Your Child to the Library Day! Live wildlife presentations by Otters & Others Conservation Zoo will be at 11:00 and 12:00. Every child who attends will have a chance to win a free book! Third grade had Scales and Tails come to celebrate the end of their CKLA animal unit.

What does a witch put on her waffles? You’ll have to come to the Salem Library on Saturday, October 11th to find out! Enjoy crafts, activities, potions — and of course... Witchy Waffles! Special guest Jennifer K. Clark, author of The Wizard’s Workshop: A Science Activity Book, will be hosting a hands-on potion-making station. Costumes encouraged!
